Hello, I’m Rae!
As a music lover, my dad had wanted my name to have the character「音」yin for “music.” Unfortunately,「陰」yin for “cloudy” was pronounced the same. Meanwhile, my brother’s name included「宇」yu for “world,” sounding the same as「雨」yu for “rain.” And what a gloomy household our family would be with both rain and clouds! Thus, my mother decided to instead name me with the character「晴」qing for “sunny,” hoping that I’d be a ray of sunshine in our family. And in my quest to live up to my name, I’ve found that my favorite way of bringing smiles to people’s faces is through bringing their concepts to life, taking hazy ideas and refining them to reflect the radiance they hold.
